Allow me to (re)-introduce myself.
I’m Bri, a twenty-three year old girl living out her New York attitude in rural Virginia . I work full time at HenHouse Shoppe, a women’s clothing boutique founded by my mom, whose vision is to give back to single moms and promote fashionable ensembles for women of all shapes, sizes, and styles . I started this blog at nineteen while a sophomore in college, and put it down shortly after it was established. Now that I’ve graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fashion Merchandising and Management, I’ve decided to pick it back up, dust it off, and reboot this thing. A lot can happen in four years, and a lot has. I’ve gotten married, moved a couple store locations, graduated, changed styles, changed some thought processes, and a lot in between. Some good and some bad, but hopefully my style’s gotten a little better. It’s inevitable. The ebb and flow, the evolution of life, the survival of the fittest, if you will. Some mindsets and thoughts are meant to stick around like that fur coat of your grandmother’s you’re praying to God she still has somewhere in her basement. They’re classics, forever in style, around for the long haul. Others are comparable to the newest micro-trend. Fleeting, gone as quick as they came. Not necessarily wrong or out-of-style, but not weighty enough to be anchored through the seasons. And I think there’s room for appreciation of both here.
My goal with the resurgence of this blog is to connect through fashion and thinking. Here we can create unique expression and inspiration, all while having a space to unload and debrief the latest thoughts. I hope you find it interesting, or can relate and connect with me in some area of this thing.
Thanks for being here! I really appreciate it.
Bri :)
